eCommerce SEO in Bangladesh: Category and Product Page Playbook

Templates beat one-off edits

An online store does not have 40 pages, it has 4,000. eCommerce SEO in Bangladesh is therefore a template problem: fix the category template and the product template once, and thousands of pages improve together.

Category pages are your money pages

Most commercial searches map to categories, not products. Every important category needs a unique H1, 150-300 words of genuinely useful copy above the fold or below the grid, internal links to top products, and a clean, indexable URL.

Product page essentials

  • Unique title and description — never paste the supplier text
  • Product structured data with price, availability and reviews
  • Real images with descriptive alt text served from a CDN
  • Delivery, warranty and return information for trust signals
  • Related products for internal linking

Control faceted navigation

Filters for colour, size and price generate near-infinite URL combinations. Keep a small set of high-demand filter pages indexable, and block or canonicalise the rest. Uncontrolled facets are the most common reason Bangladeshi stores crawl slowly and rank poorly.

Handle out-of-stock properly

Do not delete the URL. Keep the page, mark availability in schema, and offer alternatives. Deleting products destroys accumulated ranking value.

Speed on mobile decides everything

Most Bangladeshi shoppers browse on mid-range Android phones over mobile data. Compress images, lazy-load below the fold, cut unused scripts and keep Largest Contentful Paint under 2.5 seconds.
